Looks like a very good background! One additional step I’d do is add shading. If you don’t know how, just imagine where light wouldn’t get to, for example under the bed. Shading can make things better and more “fleshed out”. Hope the best for your animation!

I believe Polandball art wouldn't be seen as 'lazy' & 'unoriginal' if people could draw them in their own style ( but no, of course the fandom will start to oppress you if you don't draw them in MSpaint with an incomprehensible English.. ). I decided to not care about the fandom anymore & to draw what I want.
